1. Press and hold the Power key to power off the phone.
2. Power up the device by pressing the Camera key + Volume down key and Power key .
When the device vibrates, release the Power key, but continue pressing the Camera and Volume down keys.

Once the device displays the Are you sure you want to format? screen, release the Camera and Volume down keys.

Note: If the download mode screen displays, go back to Step 1 and try again.

3. Press the Window key to Format the device. "Are you sure you want to format?" will appeare The message Formatting will erase all your personal content and restore the factory settings. Do you want to continue? displays.
4. Press the Window key again to confirm that you want to format the device.
Warning! Important! Do not remove the battery while formatting your phone.
Wait until the device switches on and displays the Home screen.

For SMS-you can use SMS backup and restore tutorial;
For contacts, you can use Sync with your Gmail tutorial;
For Call Logs, use Download Call Logs Backup & Restore App For Android;
For all Images, Video, Files, Songs- Should Copy to internal/ External SD card;
For save your APN and MMS Settings -“Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names” or you can use this tutorial for save your internet settings.

Check your battery on your phone and charge it at a minimum is not less than 40%.

Go to access this path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”, and there verify if you’ve enable the USB Debugging, if not enable it.

Guide to Install Custom Recovery Image in Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300:

Download the Latest Clockwork Mod Touch Recovery 6.0.1.2 Image.
Download Odin from here to your computer.
Connect your phone on your computer with your original USB cable.
Place this recovery file on your external SD Card, not in internal memory
Now disconnect your phone from your computer and turn off the device, to enter in the Download Mode.
To enter on Download mode, please holding the Volume Down button+ the Home Key button which it is in the middle. Note: If your phone starts in “Normal Mode” retry the process to enter in Download Mode.
Open Odin app, from your computer, and connect your device on “Download Mode”. Now check if the ID: COM section in Odin becomes Blue that indicating drivers have been successfully installed.
Click on “PDA” to select “CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4.tar” file.
Press “Start” after the file was selected to start the process of custom recovery installation.

The device will restart, and the home screen will be displayed on your device, now you can disconnect your phone to the computer.
Attention Note: If your Samsung Galaxy S III doesn’t turn ON(just in a rare case) or say gets stuck on the Samsung Galaxy Logo, in this case you need to long press the power button to power off the device, or re insert the battery to start the process from the begin.

Root Galaxy Note N7000 on XXLT6 Jellybean 4 1 2 Firmware

XXLT6 Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware was the recent version of firmware released for Samsung Galaxy Note n7000 and the time has come for all users to root the same so that you can make use of custom ROM firmwares along with the apps which need the root access. So, let’s check out on what are the quick pre requisites section. We will also be very shortly coming out with various custom ROM firmwares for your Galaxy Note which will truly redefine the user experience in your Galaxy Note device.

Quick Pre Requisites:

All the data in your device should be backed up with the help of below mentioned steps. Don’t use KIES for backup of data as it may not detect the device in the KIES after the update.

SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log - Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,

Once downloaded, extract both the downloaded zip files in your computer and open Odin in your computer.

Turn Off your device so that it can be entered in the Download mode. Download Mode in Galaxy note N7000 can be entered by pressing the Volume Down Key + Menu Button and then press the Power button. Just in case if the device gets turned ON in the normal mode, then you will have to retry the process of entering the device in the Download Mode.

Connect your phone to the computer with Original USB cable and keep Odin opened in your computer. Once connected, you will see that the ID: COM section will turn yellow indicating that the device drivers have been installed successfully.

Click on “PDA” tab to select the tar file from the extracted rooting file to click on “Start” for starting the process of rooting. Once the rooting is completed, you need to disconnect the device. The device will be rebooted once the process is done.

Download the “Root Checker” app from the Google PLAY Store to check on whether your device is rooted or not. Just in case if your device is not rooted then you will have to re follow the instructions.

Note: If the device gets stuck in the Samsung logo or gets into the boot loop mode then you need to long press the power button and turn off the device. Repeat the process from the start by following the instructions.

How to Root Samsung Galaxy Star Pro S7262 Using Android 4 1 2 Jelly Bean Firmware and Install CWM Recovery

Samsung has already released the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update with firmware build number S7262XXUAMK5 for the Galaxy Star Pro with dual SIM card slot (GT-S7262). The new official firmware is now available as an Over-The-Air (OTA) update as well as through Samsung KIES.

Samsung Galaxy Star Pro S7262 users who missed the OTA update notification or unable to access the update over Samsung KIES, can now download and install the same manually using our step-by-step guide.

Pre-requisites
1. Install USB Drivers for Samsung Galaxy Star Pro on the computer.
2. Enable USB Debugging Mode on the phone by navigating to Settings >> Developer Options.
3. Make a backup of all your important data before following the guide.
4. The Galaxy Star Pro should be factory unlocked and not locked to any particular carrier.
5. Ensure the battery of the phone is charged more than 80 percent.
6. The Android 4.1.2 XXUAMK5 Jelly Bean firmware is compatible only with the Samsung Galaxy Star Pro (GT-S7262). Applying this to any incorrect variant might brick the device. Verify the model number of the Galaxy Star Pro by navigating to Settings >> About Phone.

Steps to Update Galaxy Star Pro S7262 with Android 4.1.2 XXUAMK5 Jelly Bean Firmware
Step 1: Extract Firmware zip file using WinRAR/7-Zip/WinZip or any other extracting tool, you will get a .tar.md5 file and some other files (optional).
Step 2: Extract Odin zip file and you will get Odin3 v3.07.exe along with few other files.
Step 3: Switch off the Galaxy Star Pro.
Step 4: Boot the device into Download Mode by pressing and holding Volume Down, Home and Power buttons together until a construction Android robot icon with a warning triangle appears on Lcd. Now press the Volume Up button to enter Download Mode.
Step 5: Run Odin on the computer as an Administrator.
Step 6: Connect the Galaxy Star Pro to the computer using USB cable while it is in the Download Mode. Wait until Odin detects the device. When the device is connected successfully, the ID: COM box will turn to light blue with the COM port number. Additionally, the successful connected will be indicated by a message saying Added.

Note: If the Added message does not appear, then try re-install USB drivers or changing the port on the computer.

Step 7: Select the following files in Odin from extracted S7262XXUAMK5 firmware folder:

Click the PDA button and select the .tar.md5 file.
Click the Phone button and select file with MODEM in its name. Ignore if there is no such file.
Click the CSC button and select file with CSC in its name. Ignore if there is no such file.
Click the PIT button and select the .pit file. Ignore if there is no such file.

Step 8: In Odin, enable Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes. Also, ensure the Re-Partition checkbox is chosen only if a .pit file was chosen in the previous step.
Step 9: Verify everything suggested in Step 7 and Step 8 is done correctly. Then hit the Start button to begin the installation process.
Step 10: Once the installation process is completed, your phone will restart and soon you will see a PASS message with green background in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. You can now unplug the USB cable to disconnect your device from the computer.

Samsung Galaxy Star Pro S7262 should be now updated with official Android 4.1.2 XXUAMK5 Jelly Bean. Head over to Settings >> About Phone to verify the software version running on the device.

Note: If Galaxy Star Pro S7262 stuck at booting animation after Step 10 then go to recovery mode (press and hold the Volume Up, Home and Power buttons together) and perform Wipe data/Factory Reset and Wipe Cache Partition task before selecting reboot system now function. In recovery mode use Volume keys to navigate between options and Power key to select the option. Please note, performing wiping task will erase your device internal memory data and not external SD card data.

How to Root Your Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Canadian SGH I317M on Android 4 3 Jelly Bean Firmware Guide

The Canadian version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with model number SGH-I317M has officially received the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update. The new official firmware is now available as an Over-The-Air (OTA) update as well as through Samsung KIES.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (Canadian) SGH-I317M users who have already updated their devices with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, may root their devices using the tutorial below.

This tutorial uses CF-Auto-Root file released by Elite Recognized XDA-Developers, Chainfire. Step 6: Verify that Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes are selected in Odin. Also, ensure the Re-Partition option is NOT selected.
Step 7: Double-check and click Start button in Odin. The installation process will now begin.
Step 8: Once the installation process is completed, your phone will restart and soon you will see a PASS message with green background in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. You can now unplug the USB cable to disconnect your device from the computer.

Samsung has rolled out Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update with base firmware I9152XWUANA5 for Galaxy Mega 5.8 DUOS (GT-I9152). The new official firmware is now available as an Over-The-Air (OTA) update as well as through Samsung KIES.

Step 2: Extract Odin zip file and you will get Odin3 v3.07.exe along with few other files.
Step 3: Switch off the Galaxy Mega 5.8.
Step 4: Boot the device into Download Mode by pressing and holding Volume Down, Home and Power buttons together until a construction Android robot icon with a warning triangle appears on Lcd. Now press the Volume Up button to enter Download Mode.
Step 5: Run Odin on the computer as an Administrator.
Step 6: Connect the Galaxy Mega 5.8 to the computer using USB cable while it is in the Download Mode. Wait until Odin detects the device. When the device is connected successfully, the ID: COM box will turn to light blue with the COM port number. Additionally, the successful connected will be indicated by a message saying Added.

Install Jelly Bean 4 1 2 XXUBMEA OTA Update for Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500

The XXUBMEA firmware has been released last week for the I9505 Snapdragon Galaxy S4 smartphone, now you can install the same version of it but designed to work with the Exynos 5 Octa Galaxy S4 variant. Read this entire post and you should be able to complete the updating process in under 10 minutes.
If you didn’t receive the official OTA Update to XXUBMEA Jelly Bean 4.1.2 firmware, then you should use this guide to manually flash all the required files. The new update fixes several bugs that were present in the previous builds that were delivered with the Galaxy S4. More info about this update can be found here. In order to successfully complete the update, you will first have to take a look at the guidelines below:

use this guide only with the Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500 Exynos 5 Octa model. Don’t try to flash this firmware update on any other variant of the Galaxy S4 phone.
if your phone is rooted, then this update will revoke root access.
try to backup some of your most important files before starting the updating process.
if your smartphone doesn’t want to boot after you install XXUBMEA firmware, then you will be forced to apply some extra steps. You will need to boot into Recovery mode and factory reset the phone, which will delete data from your device.
download and install Samsung USB Drivers for your computer. Without these drivers your phone won’t be recognized by your computer and you will be forced to return here and reinstall them.
make sure that your PC doesn’t have the Samsung KIES software running while the ODIN program installs the new firmware update. Odin is a small program that is commonly used to flash tar.md5 files and other similar updating files for Samsung phones.
disable all the antivirus and other security applications from running on your computer.
enable USB Debugging from your phone’s Developer Options. If this menu doesn’t show up in Settings, then you need to open ‘About device’ section and then scroll down to ‘Build Number’. Tap the build number section 7 times for the Developer Options menu to be enabled.
make sure that you read the entire post before starting the update.
your phone’s battery power levels should be over 50%, as this will prevent it from powering off in the middle of the updating process.
don’t skip any steps that I have listed below, as you wouldn’t want to repeat the entire tutorial more than once.
this is a guide for advanced Android users and you shouldn’t attempt to use it in case you don’t know what you’re doing, as that will result in a failed attempt.
we cannot be blamed in case you lose any important files or you’ll brick the device in the process.

I think that these were all the instructions that you had to go over before starting to flash the updating files for your Exynos 5 Octa Galaxy S4 smartphone. Note that the updating process shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes to complete. How to flash Android 4.1.2 XXUBMEA Jelly Bean OTA Update for the Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500:

Download the I9500XXUBMEA zip from HERE. Extract the contents of this file and save them on your PC desktop.
> you will get a file that is titled ‘I9500XXUBMEA_I9500OLBBMEA_XSE.tar.md5‘. Don’t extract any further than that.
Download Odin3 v3.07 from HERE. Extract the zip and place the files on your computer’s desktop screen.
Power off your smartphone completely.
Boot the device into Download Mode like this.
Launch the Odin exe on your computer.
Now, connect the device with your PC via USB cable.
> wait for ODIN to say that the new device has been ‘added!!’ and then you can continue to the next step.
> if the phone isn’t recognized, then you should plug it into another USB port or reinstall the Samsung USB Drivers using the download link listed in the preparation guide.
Next, click the ‘PDA’ button and find the I9500XXUBMEA_I9500OLBBMEA_XSE.tar.md5 file. Load it into Odin.
> don’t change any other default ODIN settings and make sure that Re-Partition option is not enabled.
Click the START button to begin the updating process and then wait several minutes for all the files to be successfully installed on your device.
When the update is complete ODIN will display a confirmation message and your Galaxy S4 Exynos 5 Octa phone will restart.
Unplug the phone from PC when the Samsung logo screen appears.
Wait for the phone to boot into normal mode and that should be all.
Test all the new features and then tell us in comments if the overall performance of your device has been improved by the XXUBMEA Jelly Bean update.

These were the steps that you needed to take in order to complete the installation. If every step was completed without problems and the phone has successfully booted into normal mode, then you can close the tutorial and begin to test the new OS version.
If you encountered problems with the update, then you should take a look at the notes below.
NOTE 1: if ODIN froze, it showed an error message or some other thing blocked the update from installing correctly, then you should disconnect the phone from computer. Close ODIN and remove the phone’s battery. Re-insert the battery after several seconds have passed and then you will need to repeat the entire tutorial once again until your device will boot with the new OS.
NOTE 2: if ODIN says that the update has been installed correctly, but the phone doesn’t go past the Samsung boot animation, then you will need to ‘factory reset’ the device using the Recovery mode. This means that you will have to read the extra steps listed below:

power off your Galaxy S4 completely by removing its battery.
re-insert the battery and then boot the phone into stock Recovery Mode.
select ‘wipe data/ factory reset’ option and confirm this process.
when the factory reset has been correctly applied, select ‘reboot system now’.
wait for your device to boot into normal mode.

How To Install XXAMG1 Android 4 1 2 JB Firmware on Galaxy Fame S6810 Guide

Samsung launches Android 4.1.2 firmware update XXAMG1 official Jelly Bean for Galaxy GT-S6810 Fame. The firmware update is launched in various countries including Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Pakistan, Iraq, Egypt and Morocco, and also can be downloaded for manual updates. You can also update your device firmware via Kies or OTA update. Because the device comes with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, this new firmware update just brings bug fixes and performance tweaks. Warning: This tutorial is only for Galaxy Fame GT-S6810. Don’t try this guide on any other Android device. Also, we are not responsible for any damage caused due to the instruction given in this page. Try this at your own risk. However, it is very unlikely that your device will be damaged if you follow all the instructions as it is which are mentioned in procedure.

Pre Requisites:
Though official firmware restore all existing data but we recommend to back up your data first before proceeding to avoid any uncomfortable situation such as bootloop fix.

1. Backup your device data. You can follow our ultimate backup guide.

2. Make sure your device have at least 60% battery power. You can install an app like Battery Notifier BT Free on your Android device to check it easily.

3. You already have USB Driver Installed for Galaxy Fame GT-S6810 in your PC. [Download USB Drivers]

4. Make sure USB Debugging is enabled otherwise you won’t able to transfer file between PC and Galaxy Fame GT-S6810.

How To Update Galaxy Fame GT-S6810 via OTA

First of all make sure you have stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or data network) on your device.
Now, go to Android app drawer and then select Settings.
Then locate About Device and tap on it.
Next select Software update from About device screen.
Then tap on Update option.
You should see an update, press OK to download and install. (Remember, download using 3G or network data will incur additional charges to your phone bill!)
Soon your device will reboot to complete the installation process.

If you see “The latest update have already been installed” massage while checking update then your device yet to receive an OTA update. Check back within few days or jump to next procedure.

How To Update Galaxy Fame GT-S6810 via Kies
Make sure you have stable internet connection on your computer.
Now download and install Samsung Kies on your computer.
Turn on your device (if it off) and then connect it to computer with USB cable.
Run Samsung Kies and wait for it to detect your device.
You should see a New Firmware Upgrade is available at Samsung Kies home screen.
Press the Firmware Upgrade button to proceed.
Follow on screen instruction and soon you will see your device running upgrade and reboot automatically. Once done, you can disconnect your device from computer.

Again! If you see “This is the latest firmware” in Samsung Kies, then your device yet to receive the latest update on Kies. Its good time to go for manual update instruction that located below.

How To Install S6810XXAMG1 Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean On Galaxy Fame GT-S6810 Manually

Download Odin v3.09.
Extract Firmware zip file that you downloaded earlier from above link, you will get a .tar.md5 file and some other files (optional).
Extract Odin zip file and you will get Odin3 v3.09.exe along with few other files.
Power off your Android device. Wait 5-6 seconds for vibration to confirm complete switch off.
Now, put the Galaxy Fame GT-S6810 in Download Mode by pressing and holding down the Home & Volume Down button together while pressing the Power button. A warning screen will come up; press Volume Up button to enter Download Mode.
Now run Odin3 v3.09.exe (see Step 3) as an Administrator because Admin privileges is required to complete the process smoothly (only applicable Windows Vista and higher).
Now connect your device to your PC using USB cable. An “Added!!” massage will appear in Odin’s message box. If you don’t get the same then you should try another USB port (try USB port located in back in your desktop PC). If that too don’t work then you should reinstall the driver. If you successfully see the “Added!!” message in Odin then you are ready to go in next step. You should also see COM port with a number in Yellow if you successfully added your device.
Click the AP Button, and select that .tar.md5 file that you get in Step 2. If you are using old Odin then add the file to PDA button.
In Odin window, make sure only Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes are selected.
Double check everything that we mentioned in Step 8 & Step 9 above. Now, once satisfied hit the START button to begin the flashing process.
Once flashing completed, your Galaxy Fame GT-S6810 will restart and soon you will see a PASS message with green background in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. You can now unplug the USB cable to disconnect your device from computer.

Congrats! You just updated your Galaxy Fame GT-S6810 to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware. Go to Settings > About device to verify this firmware update.

Fix Boot Loop Issue On Galaxy Fame GT-S6810

If Galaxy Fame GT-S6810 stuck at booting animation for more than 10 minutes after Step 11 then follow below instructions:

Go to recovery mode. To do so, press and hold the Volume Up, Home and Power buttons together.
Now perform Wipe data/Factory Reset and Wipe Cache Partition task before selecting reboot system now function. In recovery mode use Volume keys to navigate between options and Power key to select the option.

Please note, performing wiping task will erase your device internal memory data and not external SD card data.

How To Using BMM 0 3 4 on Motorola Atrix 2 MB865 ME865 –Video Tutorial Guide

Due to locked bootloader issue in Motorola Atrix 2 installing CWM recovery or TWRP recovery through regular process isn’t possible. We have to find alternate solution such as BMM. We know that a custom recovery such as CWM recovery or TWRP recovery is required to flash custom ROMs. The latest BMM aka Boot Menu Manager comes with CWM recovery which let you flash various custom ROMs. We at Android Pulp already covered few custom ROMs including 4.4.2 KitKat and 4.3.1 Jelly Bean. We all know official Motorola Atrix 2 for now can only be updated to ICS, hence custom ROMs are only option to try out latest Android OS.
