Root Galaxy Note N7000 on XXLT6 Jellybean 4 1 2 Firmware

XXLT6 Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware was the recent version of firmware released for Samsung Galaxy Note n7000 and the time has come for all users to root the same so that you can make use of custom ROM firmwares along with the apps which need the root access. So, let’s check out on what are the quick pre requisites section. We will also be very shortly coming out with various custom ROM firmwares for your Galaxy Note which will truly redefine the user experience in your Galaxy Note device.

Quick Pre Requisites:

All the data in your device should be backed up with the help of below mentioned steps. Don’t use KIES for backup of data as it may not detect the device in the KIES after the update.

SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log - Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”

From the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”, enable the USB Debugging and also make sure that your device is left with the minimum of 50% or the device will get turned off in the middle of customizing process.

Enter your device in the Recovery Mode. Recovery Mode in Galaxy Note N7000 can be entered by pressing the Volume Up Key + Menu Button and then press the Power button.

Procedure to Root Galaxy Note n7000 on XXLT6 Firmware:

Download the Rooting Package for XXLT6 Firmware and Odin from here to your computer.

Once downloaded, extract both the downloaded zip files in your computer and open Odin in your computer.

Turn Off your device so that it can be entered in the Download mode. Download Mode in Galaxy note N7000 can be entered by pressing the Volume Down Key + Menu Button and then press the Power button. Just in case if the device gets turned ON in the normal mode, then you will have to retry the process of entering the device in the Download Mode.

Connect your phone to the computer with Original USB cable and keep Odin opened in your computer. Once connected, you will see that the ID: COM section will turn yellow indicating that the device drivers have been installed successfully.

Click on “PDA” tab to select the tar file from the extracted rooting file to click on “Start” for starting the process of rooting. Once the rooting is completed, you need to disconnect the device. The device will be rebooted once the process is done.

Download the “Root Checker” app from the Google PLAY Store to check on whether your device is rooted or not. Just in case if your device is not rooted then you will have to re follow the instructions.

Note: If the device gets stuck in the Samsung logo or gets into the boot loop mode then you need to long press the power button and turn off the device. Repeat the process from the start by following the instructions.

How to Root Samsung Galaxy Star Pro S7262 Using Android 4 1 2 Jelly Bean Firmware and Install CWM Recovery

Samsung has already released the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update with firmware build number S7262XXUAMK5 for the Galaxy Star Pro with dual SIM card slot (GT-S7262). The new official firmware is now available as an Over-The-Air (OTA) update as well as through Samsung KIES.

Samsung Galaxy Star Pro S7262 users who missed the OTA update notification or unable to access the update over Samsung KIES, can now download and install the same manually using our step-by-step guide.

Pre-requisites
1. Install USB Drivers for Samsung Galaxy Star Pro on the computer.
2. Enable USB Debugging Mode on the phone by navigating to Settings >> Developer Options.
3. Make a backup of all your important data before following the guide.
4. The Galaxy Star Pro should be factory unlocked and not locked to any particular carrier.
5. Ensure the battery of the phone is charged more than 80 percent.
6. The Android 4.1.2 XXUAMK5 Jelly Bean firmware is compatible only with the Samsung Galaxy Star Pro (GT-S7262). Applying this to any incorrect variant might brick the device. Verify the model number of the Galaxy Star Pro by navigating to Settings >> About Phone.

Steps to Update Galaxy Star Pro S7262 with Android 4.1.2 XXUAMK5 Jelly Bean Firmware
Step 1: Extract Firmware zip file using WinRAR/7-Zip/WinZip or any other extracting tool, you will get a .tar.md5 file and some other files (optional).
Step 2: Extract Odin zip file and you will get Odin3 v3.07.exe along with few other files.
Step 3: Switch off the Galaxy Star Pro.
Step 4: Boot the device into Download Mode by pressing and holding Volume Down, Home and Power buttons together until a construction Android robot icon with a warning triangle appears on Lcd. Now press the Volume Up button to enter Download Mode.
Step 5: Run Odin on the computer as an Administrator.
Step 6: Connect the Galaxy Star Pro to the computer using USB cable while it is in the Download Mode. Wait until Odin detects the device. When the device is connected successfully, the ID: COM box will turn to light blue with the COM port number. Additionally, the successful connected will be indicated by a message saying Added.

Note: If the Added message does not appear, then try re-install USB drivers or changing the port on the computer.

Step 7: Select the following files in Odin from extracted S7262XXUAMK5 firmware folder:

Click the PDA button and select the .tar.md5 file.
Click the Phone button and select file with MODEM in its name. Ignore if there is no such file.
Click the CSC button and select file with CSC in its name. Ignore if there is no such file.
Click the PIT button and select the .pit file. Ignore if there is no such file.

Step 8: In Odin, enable Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes. Also, ensure the Re-Partition checkbox is chosen only if a .pit file was chosen in the previous step.
Step 9: Verify everything suggested in Step 7 and Step 8 is done correctly. Then hit the Start button to begin the installation process.
Step 10: Once the installation process is completed, your phone will restart and soon you will see a PASS message with green background in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. You can now unplug the USB cable to disconnect your device from the computer.

Samsung Galaxy Star Pro S7262 should be now updated with official Android 4.1.2 XXUAMK5 Jelly Bean. Head over to Settings >> About Phone to verify the software version running on the device.

Note: If Galaxy Star Pro S7262 stuck at booting animation after Step 10 then go to recovery mode (press and hold the Volume Up, Home and Power buttons together) and perform Wipe data/Factory Reset and Wipe Cache Partition task before selecting reboot system now function. In recovery mode use Volume keys to navigate between options and Power key to select the option. Please note, performing wiping task will erase your device internal memory data and not external SD card data.

How to Root Your Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Canadian SGH I317M on Android 4 3 Jelly Bean Firmware Guide

The Canadian version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with model number SGH-I317M has officially received the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update. The new official firmware is now available as an Over-The-Air (OTA) update as well as through Samsung KIES.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (Canadian) SGH-I317M users who have already updated their devices with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, may root their devices using the tutorial below.

This tutorial uses CF-Auto-Root file released by Elite Recognized XDA-Developers, Chainfire. The CF-Auto-Root file allowing Galaxy Note 2 users to root their devices easily without depending on the firmware. It completely supports Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and future firmware as well. Pre-requisites

Step 8: Once the installation process is completed, your phone will restart and soon you will see a PASS message with green background in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. You can now unplug the USB cable to disconnect your device from the computer.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (Canadian) SGH-I317M running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware is now rooted successfully. You can now install any app that requires root permission. Verify the root status of the device by downloading Root Checker app from Google Play Store.

How to Tutorial Easy To Root Nexus 5

Googles new flagship smartphone is the Nexus 5, and offers a simple rooting experience of modern android devices.

With a rooted Android smartphone you can run more advanced applications, modify the UI even completely new install of android built easily.

As usual get root access risk, and if you do not follow the instructions properly, you can end up with a phone can not be used. So, think twice before you begin to eradicate your phone. In that case, if you are a noobie get help from people who have experience in rooting. Please dont make a try except what it means until it exactly. Pre-rooting instructions:

The given below procedure will wipe all your datas, so take a full backup of your internal datas using appropriate backup applications.
Make sure the battery percentage level of your Nexus 5 is atleast 75%, if not so then charge your Nexus 5 fully.
Next install the Nexus 5 drivers on your PC (just plug it in and wait for few minutes, it will install them automatically).
Finally, make sure you have administrator rights on the Windows (if you do not know what these are, you probably haven’t got them)

Downloading files:

1. Android SDK files:

Note : The general procedure is same as on Windows, but the commands to use in the terminal are different on Linux and Mac. The given below tutorial is for a computer running on Windows.

Step-by-step instructions:

Installing ADB and Fastboot:

First download the appropriate Android SDK based on your PC operating system and unzip it in a folder named “Android SDK”.
Next launch the “SDK-Manager.exe” and install the following packages:
Tools > Android SDK tools, Android SDK Platform-tools
Extras > Android Support Library, Google USB driver
Next look for the new “Platform tools” folder in the Android SDK directory. Look the given below picture for reference:

NOTE : The downloads are automatic but will take sometime.

2. Unlocking the bootloader:

First, turn off the Nexus 5 and boot into the bootloader/fastboot mode by holding the Volume Down button and power button.
Next connect your phone and the computer with the help of USB cable.
Open the android SDK > SDK > Platform tools directory then right click in an empty area while holding the shift key.
Click “Open the command prompt here” and enter the given below command:

fastboot devices

If you do not get a serial number, your drivers are not installed.

Next enter the given below command:

fastboot oem unlock

On your phone, confirm with “Yes”, using the Power button. Use Volume Keys to move up and down.
Once you confirm the process, enter the given below command:

fastboot reboot

3. Installing the custom recovery:

First turn off your phone and reboot into the fastboot mode.
Copy the custom recovery file into the Android SDK>SDK>Platform-tools directory.
Next, rename the file “recovery.img”. If it does not work, simply rename the file “recovery” without the “img”.
In the command prompt window, enter the given below command:

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

Next, select the “Restart bootloader” option using the Volume buttons and press the Power button.
Now verify the custom recovery installation by entering “Recovery Mode”. If you arrive on the CWM screen, the recovery is all good.

4. Rooting Procedure:

First, reboot your phone normally and copy the rooting file to the root of your smartphone.
Next reboot your phone into the fastboot mode and choose the recovery mode.
Next select the “install zip from SD card” and “choose zip from SD card” option.

Next locate “SuperSu v1.65″ file and select that option by pressing “Yes”.
Once the installation process is finished, restart your phone by selecting the “Go back > Reboot Now” option.
To check whether your phone was rooted or not download the “Root Checker” app from Google Play Store and check the same.
