Nokia N97 Touch Screen Not Working solution

Heres the solution for Nokia N97 touch Lcd doesnt work or respond problem. This solution may works if already tried to restore, flashed, upgraded or updated the device firmware and also tried to install a new replacement touch Lcd module but the touch Lcd still wont work.

There is an ESD filter IC is being used on the touch Lcd control circuit, located beside the LCD pin connector. You may check this filter IC and replace if found damaged.
If the Filter IC already replaced but the problem still exists, you may proceed to rework the IO expander IC, the IO expander IC also controls the keypad keys. If both keypads and touch Lcd wont work you may suspect that this chip is faulty or damaged.

Guide to Install Custom Recovery Image in Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300:

  1. Download the Latest Clockwork Mod Touch Recovery 6.0.1.2 Image.
  2. Download Odin from here to your computer.
  3. Connect your phone on your computer with your original USB cable.
  4. Place this recovery file on your external SD Card, not in internal memory
  5. Now disconnect your phone from your computer and turn off the device, to enter in the Download Mode.
  6. To enter on Download mode, please holding the Volume Down button+ the Home Key button which it is in the middle.  Note: If your phone starts in “Normal Mode” retry the process to enter in Download Mode.
  7. Open Odin app, from your computer, and connect your device on “Download Mode”. Now check if the ID: COM section in Odin becomes Blue that indicating drivers have been successfully installed.
  8. Click on “PDA” to select “CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4.tar” file.
  9. Press “Start” after the file was selected to start the process of custom recovery installation.
Now you will see a progress bar that will indicate you the status process of custom recovery installation.

How to Backup and Factory Reset Alcatel One Touch 993D

Resetting your Alcatel One Touch 993D will restore the default settings of your device. It will also delete all your files on your phone, so it is recommended to backup all your important files on your computer.

Luckily in Alcatel One Touch 993D you can backup your phone settings and other application data to Google Servers before wiping all the data on your phone. But if you want to erase all the content on your phone, then there’s no need for you to backup your data.

How to Activate the Backup Function:

• Tap on the Menu key from Home screen.
• Select Settings Backup & reset > Back up my data.
• Then mark the checkbox.

How to Factory Reset:

• Tap on the Menu key from Home screen.
• Select Settings Backup & reset > Factory data reset.
• Then mark the checkbox.

If you are unable to turn on your Alcatel One Touch 993D, then you may need to do the hard reset. Press and hold the Volume up key and the Power key at the same time until the screen light up. This process will also factory reset your device.


How to Turn On/Off Wi-Fi on Alcatel One Touch 993D

• There should an email wizard that will guide you through process in setting up an email.

• Enter the email address and password of the account you want to set-up.

• Then tap Next. (You will be prompted to go to email account settings to enter settings manually, if the account is not provided by your service provider.)

• You can also tap on Manual setup to directly enter the incoming and outgoing settings for the email account you are setting up.

• Enter your preferred account name and display name in outgoing emails.

• If you want to add another email account, just tap on Menu key > Settings Add Account on the right of the title to create.
